A 12 track twenty-first century album (51m 16s) — released January 2nd 2007 on nonclassical
The Elysian String Quartet were the first musicians to be involved with Nonclassical, and premiered both the first recording, and club night of the label, with Gabriel Prokofiev's String Quartet No. 1 and returned four years later to play his second Quartet.
String Quartet No. 2 (2006) shows the breadth of Prokofiev's musical language, heavily inspired by the mechanical textures and energy of techno music contrasting with the music language of his grandfather.
